Left-wing billionaire Pierre Omidyar has tried to ‘rebuild capitalism’

Pierre Omedier followed the blueprint of left-wing billionaire George Soros and launched a so-called “ambitious” journalism program to promote radical propaganda in the United States.

Left-wing billionaire and eBay founder, Pierre Omidyar, launched Reporters in Residence through his Omidyar network last month. The six-month-long program claims to advance so-called “ambitious journalism and economic reporting” and is said to focus on “rebuilding capitalism”, so-called “labor power” and “corporations, capital markets and the common good”. December 14, 2022 Press Release.

“At Omidair Networks, we are dedicated to addressing the structural challenges at the heart of our economic system and building a new, inclusive economy where markets serve the interests of all people and societies,” said Alexis Krieg, senior manager of strategic communications at Omidair Networks. “[W]I believe it would be impossible to do that without a steady stream of solid reporting from different perspectives.”

The inaugural class includes three leftist journalists: independent journalist Bryce Covert, freelance “labor” journalist Kim Kelly and Edward Ongweso Jr., formerly the author of Vice Motherboard.

One of Omedia Network’s key claims is that “the current form of capitalism is fundamentally broken,” which is why the organization seeks to uproot the entire system. The company has even admitted that it won’t shy away from “exerting pressure” on “resistant” companies to comply with its globalist digital technology agenda.

The company also has a history of trying to reimagine capitalism. Last year, the Omedia Network and The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation poured a combined $41 million into researching “alternatives” to the free market economy, according to The New York Times. “I think there’s pretty broad agreement that the traditional set of economic concepts has passed its sell-by date,” Omedia CEO Mike Kubzhansky said at the time..

Omidyar followed the Soros model of shaping public opinion and government policy through media figures and organizations through his network of funds. According to Influence Watch, in 2021 and 2022, Omedia Network donated $509,500 to Accountable Tech, a left-wing organization that advocates for curbing free speech on online platforms.
