President Biden nearly flouted another presidential rule on Friday by creating drama with a traditional pre-Super Bowl interview with the game’s broadcaster, this year, Fox. He may have taken ABC’s advice scene As the cackling coven vehemently opposed exposing himself to accountability, even accusing anchors Brett Baer and Shannon Brim – respected throughout the industry – of pushing “conspiracy theories”.
After announcing that Fox News would take the interview (which I later learned was actually Fox Soul), Joy Behar called it “A problem.” “So, a reporter from Fox News, Brett Baer, or someone like him, will interview him. And it will give Biden a chance to get his message out to a huge, huge audience. So, the question is should he do it? he asked the cast.
Racist co-host Sunny Hostin argued that Biden’s tradition should be trashed (despite the fact that he sat down with friendly NBC News last year) and mocked the interview with nearly 20 million people watching as the state got more:
Hostin: I don’t think he should. I know it’s a tradition. The pregame show, this pre-interview, only got 20 million viewers. I think he got a 27.3 for the State of the Union. So, people saw him, they heard him. And I don’t think you normalized the misinformation network.
Sarah Haynes: Did he get more at the State of the Union than at the Super Bowl?
Hostin: Yes. Pre game.
Despite Haynes’ surprise at the number, 20 million was nothing to shake a stick at, especially for a single network to yield. State of the Union may have had 27.3 million but that’s the combined total of all the news outlets that broadcast it. That was eight times the 20 million people who watched scene Last season
Hostin, perhaps jealous of the positive reputations of his former Fox News colleagues, hit Baer and Brim with false smears. “And I have trouble believing that he would have to sit down with a Shannon Brim or even a Brett Baer because the bottom line is, they work for a network that puts out conspiracy theories, they’re election deniers.” She lied. One of her complaints was that host Tucker Carlson called Biden a “mannequin president.”
And since Hostin called Fox News “The Network of Misinformation,” Here are some fact-checks from Newsbuster sceneFalse, from this week. And for Biden’s insults, Hostin regularly calls Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) “Deathsantis“
Further down the table, faux-conservative co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin argued that Fox News was a respected journalist but attacked their audience.
Haynes agreed that Fox News had “real journalists” and said it was “a great opportunity” for Biden to “take a chance” and “[i]If they’re buying into conspiracy theories, call them out in real-time.”
But he argued that it wasn’t “strategically” advantageous for him to go to a network that would actually challenge him:
But if I were to give him strategic advice, I’d say such a big State of the Union, their moments and all the talk the next day. There’s more to lose than gain here if you go into a weird back and forth or something like that. So, I don’t know if strategically he has to do it.
Farrah Griffin spoke again and the transport secretary noted “Pete Buttigieg does a lot at Fox and I think it’s been very – helpful to him.” Hostin replied bitterly “He’s a lot smarter than all of them, so it’s easy for him. I mean, it’s a no-brainer.”
No brain really.

11:06:18 AMJoy Behar: So, the game will be broadcast on Fox this year. meet? That’s the problem. so-
[Laughter]
AUDIENCE MEMBER: That’s a problem.
Behar: That’s a problem. So, a reporter from Fox News, Brett Baer, or someone like him, will interview him. And it will give Biden a chance to get his message across to a huge, huge audience. So, the question is will he do it?
They still say that there is a point that he can not really win the election. There are those at Fox. They’re not — they keep saying he’s a liar when they’re liars. Why does he go there?
Sunny Hostin: I don’t think he should. I know it’s a tradition. The pregame show, this pre-interview, only got 20 million viewers. I think he got a 27.3 for the State of the Union. So, people saw him, they heard him. And I don’t think you normalized the misinformation network.

Hostin: Yes. Pre game.
And I have trouble believing that he should sit down with Shannon Brim or even Brett Baer because the bottom line is, they work for a network that puts out conspiracy theories, they’re election deniers. During Tucker Carlson’s show on Tuesday, arriving just before the State of the Union address, they left the White House calling him a mannequin president. I mean, this is just constant. Basically, people are more willing – Fox viewers – more willing to accept conspiracy theories around COVID.

HAINES: I will say though I totally agree with what Alyssa is saying that there are real journalists and I think whoever those people are you have to go out there and take a chance. If they buy into the conspiracy theory, call them out in real-time. Because I think you go there and I think it has a powerful message.
But if I were to give him strategic advice, I’d say on the heels of such a big State of the Union, with all those moments and the day-after talk, that if you want to get into one, there’s more to lose than to gain. Weird back and forth or something like that. So, I don’t know if strategically he has to do it.
This is a great opportunity.
Alyssa Farrah Griffin: Pete Buttigieg does a lot at Fox and I think it’s been very helpful for him.
Hostin: Well, he’s a lot smarter than all of them, so it’s easy for him.
Farrah Griffin: Oh!
Hostin: I mean, it’s a no-brainer.
